18V Coleman Screw Shooter Battery Mod

18V Coleman Screw Shooter Battery Mod On YouTube.

My 300th Video!!!!! PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW. UPDATE!! The Jumpstarter box seen in this clip is starting to die. What a shame for the duracell brand. Time for another one I guess. An adaptor that I made for my Coleman 18V cordless drill, now corded. I made this from one of the dead batteries from the drill a beefy lamp cord some crimp-on female spade connectors and a 12 car lighter plug purchased from Walmart. I soldered the lamp cord onto the car lighter cord and removed the fuse and spring and replaced it with a piece of wire similar to a wire coat hanger. I fit the cord thru the original strain relief on the lighter plug. and on the other end I crimped on a couple of female Crimp on spade connectors to the original battery contacts. I used 2 of the original battery cells to give structual support in the gutted battery pack and then I cut a hole in the back of the battery and threaded the cord thru and padded the cord with lots of electrical tape. and now I have a near unlimited source of power for this drill and the circular saw the reciprocating saw and the other tools from the set. I use this with the jumpstarter seen here plus I think it can be used on a car's lighter outlet but that hasn't been tested yet but everything draws 12 amps or less depending on the tool used. the saws draw more amps like if your cutting plywood with the circular saw the jumpstarter's overload may trip on the power port but it will reset in a few seconds and the light draws the least amps ...
